A. Working in the Time Line (Not the editor pane), select the region or regions (across any number of tracks), move the playhead to where you want to start the cut, and use the Split menuItem to isolate the portion you wish to Cut/Copy/remove. Repeat these steps for the end of your cut, then with the section(s) you want selected, use the standard Cut/Copy/Delete menuItems, or keyboard equivs.
