Find the Right Gear: Interfaces Band & Orchestra Drums Guitars Misc Gear MIDI Controllers Mics Audio Interfaces

Q. I just upgraded to GarageBand version 10 (GBv10), can I "downgrade" back to the old version?

GarageBand version 10 Icon
A. Yes, in fact you need do nothing to continue using GBv6 (GarageBand '11). When you install GBv10 the installer moves GBv6 into a folder within your applications folder. Simply look in your Applications folder for a folder named GarageBand 6.0.5 (or something similar), open it and launch the application.

This means you have the option of using the newer version of GarageBand and its features, or the older version and its features, as you need.
