Q. How can I duplicate a track?

A. Choose “Duplicate Track” from under the Track Menu (NOTE: in GarageBand version 10 this menuItem has changed to “New Track with Duplicate Settings”). This will create a new track that has all the properties of the original track.

Note that duplicating a Track, does not duplicate the Regions contained within the track. See: Duplicating a Region
