Can I keep my old version of GarageBand when I install the new version?

A. You can rename the GarageBand application, and move it out of the Applications folder. Then the new installation will not replace it. I have mine named GarageBand1, GarageBand2, etc
Note: My experience with GarageBand1 was that it got fussy with the newer versions installed (versions 2, 3, 4, and 5 were still working without issues last time I checked [update: I no longer have versions 1, 2, or 3 installed, but 4 and 5 appear to work under OS X 10.6.8]).
