You can not open it directly (the only apps that can open GB projects are GB itself, and the Logic 7 (or later) Series (Logic 7 can open files from GarageBand3 and earlier, Logic 8 can open files from GarageBand4 earlier, etc), however, it's not difficult to get all your recordings into ProTools.

ProTools you would have to solo and export each GarageBand track one at a time, then load the exported files into ProTools.
Be sure to not compress them, for the highest quality, use AIFF, not AAC or mp3.
